Goodbye Morfar

I just got the sad news that my Morfar (my mom's dad) died earlier today. He was 83 years old. He loved my kids and was always so good to them! He had a great sense of humour and enjoyed it when people went to visit him. In the last couple years he has lived in a care home, but still loved making his own breakfast of bacon and eggs and the good coffee!! The last time we saw him was Christmas Day when he joined us at my parents' place for dinner. We will miss him so much.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. On a happier note it looks as if you had many wonderful times with Morfar to remember him by and your children as well.

Some great pictures! When I was getting some pictures together for my blog, the boys kept saying, "we're sure lucky we have those pictures! It sure is good we have pictures!" I'm glad have good memories of him though!

My condolences, Sarah. It is hard to watch our grandparents get old and frail, isn't it? I'm so glad you had lot of years and memories made with him. This post really hits home as my grandfather will likely pass away in the next month or two. He will be 74 next week. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you say your final goodbyes this week!
