Last Chance Reminder....

I've just updated the Last Chance List... Please click HERE to view. And if you want to take advantage of any of the last chance items, head to my website and online ordering page... Click HERE

Family Scrapbook Page

You've seen all these pics before..... But, I just wanted to show you a page I did using the photos from our Good Friday photo shoot in Victoria. Since the photos were not just to get pics of our entire family, but also to celebrate my parents' 40th Anniversary, I thought these chipboard numbers worked perfectly. You will likely see me using chipboard more frequently now, since I have put my chipboard in a much more accessible spot in my new stamping room than it was in my old room (yes, I know I still have to post pics of my new space, those are coming!!!).

Happy Birthday X2

One of the things that clinched it for us when Steve and I were dating was when we discovered that our dads had the same birthday (different years, though)!!! What are the odds?!

So, today, I want to say "Happy Birthday Dads!"

Happy Father's Day!

Wishing all the Fathers out there a very special day.... especially YOU, Steve! I always love to see you playing with the kids, and I know you love being a dad... it shows!

And also, Happy Father's Day to my dad, and Steve's dad, too. You are both so special to our family!

My dad:

Steve's dad:

And, for anyone that has lost their dad and can't celebrate with him in person this Father's Day... my hope for you is that you will be able to draw on the special memories that you shared with your dad and that those would bring you comfort today.

Ladies Who Lunch

I had a fun lunch today with a group of Girlfriends... this is our second luncheon date, so we decided we needed a name, because this will definitely continue on a monthly, or bi-monthly basis. So, once "Lunch Ladies" was thrown out as a name, someone came up with "Ladies Who Lunch." Now, doesn't that sound so sophisticated? We've also done movie nights together, and I just really enjoy being with this group of gals... so, thanks for a fun day!

We went to the "Serendipi Tea House" in old Abbotsford. Very quaint!

Last Chance Reminder....

The Last Chance Lists are out... and you can see them on THIS POST.

Also, just a heads up about the next catalogue... the prices will be going up a bit, and so if there is something that you know you want, but were going to wait until July to order, you may want to consider ordering it now, before the prices increase.

To place an online order, please click HERE for my website, and online ordering site.

Here is an explanation from Stampin' Up! on the price increases that I thought would give understanding....

Price Increase
(from SU! Head Office)

You will notice a price increase of about 10 percent for products in the upcoming 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalogue.

We evaluate product pricing based on a number of factors. While the exchange rate is only one factor in pricing considerations for Canada, dramatic changes in the exchange rate are cause for price adjustments. Because the Canadian dollar weakened seven months ago and has seen limited recovery since then, we have found it necessary to adjust our prices.

A Sad Goodbye

I got a very sad call this morning, my cousin Silja's husband Aaron passed away around 10 am. Today they had been married for exactly 19 months. You are in our thoughts and prayers, Silja.

A Work in Progress....

We are currently in a rearranging stage in our house.... my husband had his office on the main floor, but since he works from home during the day, we both decided that 3 years of that was enough... so, it was time to find some new space for him to work. Now, since rental space is expensive, and we technically have enough room in our house for everyone to be happy - we just decided to rearrange. I shared my plan with him a couple weeks ago, and he jumped on board right away...

Want to hear it?!!! There will be photos down the road... just haven't gotten to a place where it is worthy of sharing pictures quite yet!

Steve's office is now moved to Elise's bedroom on the upstairs floor. (it's the smallest bedroom, but still big enough for him to have a large desk and lots of shelving, plus there is a bedroom closet in there, for all the stuff he doesn't need right away.

My stamping room will move out of the largest bedroom upstairs (well, our Master bedroom is the largest, but we're staying there!) and into Steve's old office downstairs... now THIS is something that will take a long time to complete! Our house is a wreck right now!!!

The boys (share a room) will move into my old stamping room... (but we'll have to paint, patch walls where I've hung stuff, etc, before they can move in.... this room has a walk in closet with a window, and the boys are already excited about all the forts they will build in there!

And, finally, Elise will move into the boys' old room... once again, we'll have to paint it before she can move it, and make it a little more girly than it is right now with 2 little boys living in there!

So, please forgive my lack of blog posts, but we are deep in the task of moving rooms, and I haven't created something in quite awhile.... can't wait to make something new in my new room!

In the meantime, why not keep up on my photo blog... Worth 1000 Words... I have been posting 1-2 photos each day.
