My Book Arrived!!

Just wanted to share a few pics of the final product of the digital scrapbook I've been working on. I LOVE it! And it even turned out better than I was imagining.

Looks great! I love what you did with the backpage. I am working on an album for my 5 month old daughter for grandparents for Christmas. Although I am a SU demo, I mostly do cards. My biggest debate is do I want the pages that face one another to be coordinating. Yours shows that you do it that way - any input on the thought process that goes into that? Or should they always be coordinating to one another (even if the photos are different events). Have you made any albums using the different styles of books? The leather cover ones? Thanks for your input!

LOVE your pages!!!!! You made the trip come ALIVE :)

Laura - scrapbooking is each persons personal preference. If you do choose to compliment the 'facing' pages with coordinating colours or pictures, it does make it less busy and maybe a bit easier to look at... that's just my opinion though for what it's worth! Scrapbooking etc is about making it personal so whatever works for you is what's important!

Thanks Everyone!!

Laura, thanks for visiting my blog! I agree with Louise that it is totally your preference. I usually try to make my facing pages the same theme and colour scheme. However, if I do end up having 2 facing pages, and not enough photos in the same theme to fill both, I will at least try to tie the 2 pages together by colour scheme. Maybe make them each have the same background colour, or use a coordinating embellishment on them both. This happens for me sometimes in my family yearbooks that I make in 8 1/2 X 11 size. Maybe I will have too many events to fit into the space that I have allotted for a particular month, so then I will either give it a general title... like "Moments in May" (then it can be a whole hodgepodge of events from that month, or I will just coordinate the colours and put 2 separate titles, one on each page. Plus, your journaling will tie everything together. For different events on the same layout, I will just put a little caption under the photo, and if it is a single event/theme, then I will designate a journaling block to keep it all in the same space.

Hope that helps! If not, ask some more!!!

Hey Sarah, WOW!!!! That looks amazing!! I love how it all comes together in a book, I can see wanting to learn something like this. Is this comparable pricing to doing traditional scrapbooking? You are so creative, I love it.
