Rainy Day Crafts - part 2

The kids have been crafting most of the day... they love creating things and I love seeing them get creative, and they are actually pretty good about cleaning up after themselves, so that helps when we're dealing with paint! I thought we could make some musical instruments, and these shakers came together fairly easily, and then they got to break out new paint sets to decorate them.

Rainy Day Crafts

Today it is wet outside... wet wet wet! So, we are making it an indoor day... first craft of the day - a paper pumpkin by Scott. Stay tuned for more papercrafting with the kids :)

Blog Header

I know this is a bit busy for a blog header, but I was just having some fun! I created this as an 11X 8 1/2 scrapbook page in MDS, and then cropped it slightly after I had it saved, exported it in a smaller file size, then stuck it in the blog header spot. I think there might be another way to do this, but it seemed to work just fine for me... I like how you can alter the file size so you can get the header to fit in the existing border.

Just another use for this cool new software!

Edit: I changed the header a bit... see if you can spot what I changed from this original page!!

Punchy Purses

Here's another look at some punchy purses!! I love these little purses, and they are quick and easy to make, and yet give any project a stylish flair! The punches used in this card are small and large ovals, 1" and 1 1/4" circles, round tab, designer label, and the Modern Label punch. You can see all of these, plus some great deals at my website... Family Photos

A couple weeks ago, we had our family photos done by a local photographer - Judi Petker. We just got our cd of edited photos, and I am so happy with how they turned out! In April, we had my side of the family's photos taken, so this was Steve's family's turn.

Here are a few of the pics she took of just our family of 5... there are 12 of us altogether, and we got some great pics of everyone. But I'll just share these ones of us. Check out Judi's FB page, too, and if you're in this area, and you need some pics taken, she has very reasonable rates, and is a real sweetheart, too!

A Weekend Away

This past weekend, we were gifted with a weekend away. Friends of ours own a cabin across the line, and offered it to our family for 2 nights. What a great getaway... Thanks so much!

Crazy Kids!

Back at Easter, while we were with my family, my sister made up some great Easter baskets for my kids. These little mouths (candy suckers) were in the mix of goodies, and she gave me the idea of letting the kids have them in the tub, so the sticky on their hands and faces could be washed off right away! They had a blast tonight, and the bunny faces got one last hurrah as the last bit was sucked off and then the rest was chucked. But since we won't be seeing these faces again (well, maybe new ones next Easter... the kids can hope, anyway!) I had to get a picture!!

We're getting pretty close to the end of "Rub a dub dub, three kids in a tub!" too... because Scott usually showers now, and Elise likes having the tub to herself. And, I think Todd would just rather stay dry! So, I never know when my last picture of them all in the tub together might happen...
