Rhonda gave me these beautiful tulips - and they have opened up even more since I took this picture. Wrapped around the tulips, and then tied with a bow, were these fun pieces of fabric shown in the second picture! Thanks, Rhonda!!

Blessed by Friends
As I posted a couple days ago, I hosted a stitching party here on Monday. I wanted to share the hostess gifts that I got.

And for several months now, I have admired these adorable strawberries that you will see as decoration on Kim's Etsy page. I've commented on them to her, and now I have a pair of my own!!! I love them - thanks, Kim!!

Sunflower Fetish
I admit - I love sunflowers. I love their colour, their size and how cheerful they seem against a bright blue sky. My dad knows this! He has sunflowers in his garden this year. And he gave one to ME!!! I love it. I put my sunflower table cloth on the table so my sunflower could be displayed properly. He said it should last for two or three weeks. That is wonderful!
Here are some of the pics I took last week of my dad's garden before he cut one down and made it mine.

Thank you, Dad :)

The Life of a Tulip
Yesterday, as I was getting ready to head back to church in the afternoon for a meeting, I spotted my beautiful tulips in front of my house. I planted these bulbs a few years ago, and never bothered to dig them up like I think you're supposed to. Since they come back so faithfully every year, I figure, why mess with this kind of beauty?! So, my bulbs stay put in the ground.
Anyway, I grabbed my camera for a few pics, and I am so glad I did... because later in the afternoon, the kids were outside playing, and the doorbell started ringing. I went to the door and there was Scott with a gift. My sweet little boy had picked me a batch of tulips. Very nice, only they were from my front yard and I had hoped they would stay in the front yard. He said, "Mom, I thought we should have these in the house where you could see them and enjoy them more!"
Now, how can you get upset with that? I don't even do anything to take care of these flowers, so why not have them inside where we can all enjoy them?! Bless his heart!

Spring Flowers
I really feel so loved! In the last couple weeks I have been gifted with so many flowers. Here are the lovely daffodils that my friend Karen gave me when she and her family came for dinner.
And earlier that same day, Steve and Todd came home from grocery shopping and presented me with these beauties! Thank you so much!

Last one...
I had my last club night with the "Beyond the Basics" girls last night. What a great group of ladies! They brought me these gorgeous flowers. Thank you ladies! You have been such a fun group, and I am going to miss our "first Wednesday of the month" stamping nights!
I'll show the projects we did in the next post. But, I wanted to share the beautiful flowers first...

And, here is a really fun card that Melody made for me. Thanks, Melody! I love it!!

A day of flowers!
They say, "When it rains, it pours!"
Well, I say, fine by me when the showers are in flowers!!! Today, I was blessed with TWO bouquets of flowers.
The first bouquet is from Steve, my wonderful husband... he said they were just because he loves me! I do feel loved! I am especially enjoying the beautiful Fallish colours in this bouquet. Thanks Husband!!
The second bouquet came from my new friend Jacky. We met because our sons go to school together. Today I had Noah for the day, and Steve took both boys to and from school (Noah and Scott) and then brought Noah back after school for more playing with my kids! When Jacky came to pick Noah up, she gave me these beautiful flowers... thanks so much!

Happy Birthday Granny! (and K.I.S.S.)
My Granny turns 88 today, and she is my last grandparent alive. Here is a recent picture of her and my kids. She has recently moved into a new care home, and the latest report is that she likes the food there... that is great news because at her last place she didn't have anything good to say about the food!

And here's a two-for-one post for you... This is the card that I have sent to Granny. It qualifies for a "KISS" technique feature. I used the sticky cuts in the SU! catalogue, and covered them with chunky sprinkles. Easy card! I was done in about 5 minutes.

Stop for the Roses
I went for a walk today... early. Maybe not early for you, but it was quite a bit earlier than when I am usually even up, let alone out of the house! But I saw these pretty roses on my walk and I had my camera along, so here are a couple shots. I stopped for the roses, but I didn't smell them... there were a bunch of ants on them and I am pretty sure I would have ended up with one in my nose... so I just stopped to take a few pictures of the roses!!!

Same rose but using the colour accent feature on my camera - it only picked up the green.

Special Gift
I love what comes out of the mouth of babes... Todd brought me these buttercups the other day when they were playing outside and I said, "oh, bless your heart little boy!" He asked me to put them in water right away! A little bit later he came back with a very dead dandilion and said, "oh bless your heart little mommy, this is a beautiful flower for you! Please put it with the yellow flowers." I did for a bit and tossed that one when he wasn't looking. Scotty brought me the "beautiful green leaf" but I was not allowed to put the gifts from both boys in the same glass of water! As a mom you need moments like this once in awhile, because they are the things you treasure on other days when the kids aren't quite as cute!!!!!
