Retiring Lists

Please click HERE for the updated Retiring Accessories list, to see the availability of each retiring item. Don't forget to check out the retiring STAMP SET list as well... stamp sets are available until August 10th, but the accessories are WHILE SUPPLIES LAST.....

Decor Elements

I finally got a chance (and the guts!) to put up my new Decor Elements from Stampin' Up! I don't know what I was nervous about... it was so easy! Just follow the directions on the packaging and voila! What a cinch. The only thing is that the kraft Manhattan flowers are not that much darker than my wall colour, and I would have liked a bit more of a contrast... but in real life it looks better, and the chocolate is not so harsh next to it.

Eventually, I will put picture frames on the piano, but it is such a rare thing for the piano to be so empty that I wanted to enjoy it for awhile!!!

A post-wedding gift

My cousin got married a few months ago, and when I see her next, (which might be in time for her first anniversary because she is living in the US with her hubby!) I am going to give her this little paper-bag album that I made with photos from her wedding. The photos in the project were taken by both my sister and me. I used the "Tie the Knot" scrappin' kit (which is on the retiring accessories list, and won't last long because it is so popular.....)

The way you fold the paper bags together creates little pockets for tags and extra pictures. Here you'll notice the tag is in...

Here the tag is pulled out...

Painting and Stamping

Here are a couple paintings I did recently for a friend... she hasn't received them yet, so I can't tell you who she is... I used the retired set Headline Alphabet for the words. The painting is done in acrylics. These canvases are 16" X 20 " in size each.

More birthday fun!

Well the day didn't end with cake... but rather a dip and a ride at Cultus Lake. We got to go out to the lake with our friend John and this was Elise's first time in a lake, first time on a tube, first time in a boat (besides a BC Ferry)... and all on the first day of being 2. She loved it! We all did. Steve and I had a blast on the tube as well, (I haven't been on a tube since Summer of 2000) and then the boys had a turn tubing, and then with the boat shut off, everyone except me took a dip in the middle of the lake. What a fun, and full day!

Birthday Girl!

Today was Elise's birthday and we had a little "Ladybug Picnic" party. She had her friends Sammy and Sylvia over and baby Maartina, and her hero Bauman... and of course, her brothers!

And to anyone that comes here for stamping.... more will be coming this coming week because our camping is all finished! 2 different camping trips in 2 weeks, and I think I am done for now! Maybe we'll go away again somewhere in August, but for the rest of July we'll likely be staying around home. (Home Sweet Home!!!!!)

Tatoos from Stampin' Up!

Bubble fun...
"Bauman" is our friend John, and he has 3 little girls of his own and is so great with kids... unfortunately they are all away this week, and John was the only one home. So, being a great sport, he showed up at our 2 year old's birthday party!!!

Elise and baby Maartina

The gift we gave Elise was a ladybug bracelet. Made by my friend Ami who has Darling Bijou Jewellery. Check out her website... she has amazing stuff!

A yummy cake from Safeway!

Today....

....I have a 2 year old :)

Happy Birthday baby girl!

Bloomin

Last week on our vacation, we went to my aunt's for dinner. She bravely welcomed us all in (all 11 of us, plus 7 extras from her own family). Here's the thank you card I mailed off to her this week. I used the Blooming with Love stamp set, and made a little pouch inside to hold a packet of wildflower seeds.

Here are all the little ones... the next generation! My kids, my sister's kids and the 3 on the back of the couch belong to 2 of my cousins. 9 boys and 1 girl :) Can you see my cousin hiding behind the couch holding up her baby?! When I put this pic on facebook someone commented that the arm out of nowhere looked a bit strange!

One more pic...

Here's our group shot at 3 Valley Gap....

New IN COLORS

I love the anticipation of a new Stampin' Up! catalogue, and as a demonstrator, I get the benefit of seeing a few things before everyone can order from the catalogues.

My first pre-order arrived on Friday and in it was all my new IN COLOR products. I love them! Especially the Kiwi Kiss and the Riding Hood Red. There were some fun new stamp sets in my box as well as some beautiful patterned paper and the coolest punch ever. I promise you... you will LOVE the new catalogue! Mark your calendar for my new catty open house in August, and you'll get to see many more new products!

Can't wait to start creating with my new goodies!!!

The colours are:

Riding Hood Red, Tangerine Tango, Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Point, and Baja Breeze

Camping fun

This past week we were camping with my sister in Salmon Arm. They came out with their trailer and we rented a cabin at the campground. On one of the days we went towards Revelstoke for some Family Fun. We spent the morning at the Enchanted Forest, and then the afternoon/dinner at 3 Valley Gap. That brought back some memories because we always stopped at 3 Valley Gap on high school choir/band trips.

What I hadn't done before was go through the Ghost Town at 3 Valley Gap... it was wonderful. Here are a few pics I took there.

A Family Reunion

I haven't done much stamping lately, but I have another Family event to post about!!! Today we had our Family Reunion (Steve's side) at the Zoo. There were 51 people all together, and lots of food, laughter and fun. We went on the train, had a game, and visited a lot of animals! Steve's cousin Dawnelle and I organized the event, and we had a lot of fun putting this together.

Here are a few pics from the day......

Their matching outfits weren't even planned!!!

Todd "helping" build a fire...

Scott waited all day for Smores... he even roasted the marshmallows himself! Here they are a bit too far away from the fire, but Uncle Dave showed him how to hold them down closer to the coals.

Elise hung out by the food table all day... there was a bench on the other side and she would climb up on there and eat chips!
